I was also sitting in the seat opposite him, next to the window, so I could see his phlegm. I saw thick phlegm. When I asked him if he had seen a doctor, he said, “The phlegm is thick, it will be too late to cure the problem” I didn’t say anything to him, I just said – you should see a doctor.
Later, I asked a doctor I knew – what does “thick
phlegm” mean?
The doctor said – Many people have coughs and fevers
every day. Many people, young and old, suffer from coughs when the season
changes or when they catch a cold, have a sore throat or swollen tonsils. In most
cases, this phlegm is not that complicated, they are viral infections, asthma
or bronchitis, tonsillitis or inflammation of the airways.
The doctor said - but "thick phlegm" means
the problem has become complicated.
The reason for the color of the phlegm to change to
yellow or dark - This happens only when there is a germ, especially a bacterial
infection. In some special chest diseases, a lot of yellow thick phlegm can be
released.

a lot later.
The lungs are such an organ of the body where any
problem means a state of suffocation. Whoever has it understands the horror of
suffering! Therefore, awareness is definitely important to protect the health
of the lungs.
Lung
abscess --
Even if there is an abscess in the lung, dark yellow
phlegm is produced. It is accompanied by fever, weight loss, etc. Lung abscess
is also a complex disease and is treated with high-dose intravenous antibiotics
for a long time. Sometimes surgery may also be required.
Chronic
bronchitis
--
Chronic bronchitis in smokers has a long-term history
of cough. Sometimes if this cough increases and the phlegm or mucus turns
yellow, it should be understood that there is an infection.
Tuberculosis usually produces whitish phlegm. Sometimes
the color of the phlegm can change due to some medicine. However, if the amount
of phlegm increases, there is fever and the color of the phlegm is yellowish,
then you should immediately check the phlegm and take the right antibiotic as
per the doctor's advice.
Phlegm is a very minor problem in the eyes, but
sometimes it can appear as a very big health problem, so you have to be aware
to lead a healthy life.
