Nutrition in vegetables Experts say - Food may not be nutritious, but nutrition is definitely food. To live healthily, one must eat nutritious food. Vegetables are unique in fulfilling this need. Vegetables contain a lot of fiber, vitamins and minerals, along with many other nutrients. They increase digestion, add flavor to food, eliminate constipation, and increase immunity. Our ignorance is the cause of our malnutrition. Even though we have nutritious ingredients like vegetables at hand, we blame lack of wealth or inability to buy them. Who says that eating only fish and meat will provide nutrition? This misconception will go away if we know about the nutritional value of vegetables.
