  Problem - Protein in urine Once, one of my neighbors suddenly developed pre-eclampsia during pregnancy. That's when I knew about the issue of protein in urine and the dangers it poses. There is no substitute for awareness to lead a healthy life with diseases like diabetes or high blood pressure .   We become worried when we see the presence of protein in the urine test. Protein (sometimes called albumin ) in urine is not normal. It is an early symptom of kidney problems . People with diabetes and high blood pressure should have their urine tested for protein from time to time. Because it gives an idea about the condition of the kidneys . Experts say the reason for protein in the urine is -- The protein in our blood is usually dissolved in the kidney filter and cannot be excreted with the urine.
