Sleep hygiene When we were young, our parents were very conscious about our sleep. They never let us stay up at night to do anything, including studying, they used to say – “There is no alternative to healthy sleep - to lead a healthy life . If we do not sleep properly, our head will not be well, which means the brain will not function properly. If the brain does not function properly, it means that the day is wasted”.  God has also designated night for rest and day for work.  But unfortunately, in the present era of extreme modernity, people have turned day into night – and night into day, we see every where!!   Desire is - I went to sleep, again - spent a few days without sleeping. Or having to take sleeping pills because you can't sleep, going to bed late, so getting up late the next day - none of this is healthy. It is not right to become dependent on sleeping pills because you are not sleeping. Said the expert - There is no substitute for adequate sleep t...

Anal problems

Anal problems

To lead a healthy life, it is better to know many things, even if they are not your own business, and to be careful. I also became aware by seeing the people around me suffering, and I learned a lot by looking into their problems. It is foolish to be ashamed of health problems. Know yourself - tell others and take action while you have time.

The doctor said - Usually, most people consider all anal diseases to be piles. In fact, anal diseases do not mean piles. Anal fissures, fistulas, hemorrhoids, abscesses, prolapses, blood clots, polyps or tumors can also occur. Constipation is one of the reasons for all of them. These reasons are enough to twist a healthy life. So, be attentive to your health before you get infected.

I have asked the doctor to know about various problems of anal tract like –

1) Anal fissure -

This is a disease of the anus. When a wound form in the front or back of the anus due to constipation, it is called 'anal fissure'.

This problem causes severe or moderate pain and burning. A little blood is passed during defecation. The anus becomes narrow.

Anal fissure and piles are not the same thing. In this disease, there is pain during defecation or for a few hours or all day after defecation. Many people may develop anal fistula after anal fissure. Then there may be itching in the anus along with the pain.

Modern non-surgical treatment of anal fissure is currently possible in Bangladesh. Those who have been suffering for a long time need surgery.

Since this problem is caused by constipation, one should be aware of this. In the initial stage, changing the diet can eliminate constipation. Eating less fatty meat, drinking more vegetables, fruits and water can relieve constipation and reduce rectal pressure. Using GTN ointment or soaking in lukewarm water mixed with Povisep lotion can help. In many cases, the disease is completely cured within four to six weeks with medication.

There are many surgical methods. In this, the inner door of the anus is cut in lateral internal scrotum. In another type of treatment, the inner door is cut through a small hole with the help of thin fiber and light or light is used to cut it. Applying a laser to the wound helps the upper layer to grow new and heal the wound. Since there is no cutting in the laser, there is usually no bleeding, and the pain is less. Apart from this, there is no damage to the capacity of the anus.

 2) Piles -

Doctors call it hemorrhoids. Piles gradually increase in size and descend. If you compare the anus to a clock, three blood vessels at the 3 o'clock, 7 o'clock, and 11 o'clock positions swell due to pressure due to constipation and gradually descend downwards.

There are five stages. Piles are painless but can bleed profusely. First-stage piles can be treated with dietary changes, stool softeners, and certain medications. Band ligation is a very effective surgery for second-stage piles. Third- and fourth-stage piles require surgical removal.

3) Abscess -

Small or large abscesses can occur inside and outside the anus. Diabetes is one of the causes of this. If surgery is not performed, people with this problem are at high risk of developing fistula later.

4) Fistula -

A fistula is a wound, one of which is outside the anus and the other is inside. It is caused by an abscess. Its treatment is also surgery. However, if the inner mouth of the canal is too high or crooked, the surgery may fail. Therefore, it is better to do a fistulogram, MRI before surgery

5) Prolapse -

Sometimes a part of the large intestine can partially or completely come out through the anus. This is called prolapse. It can be treated through laparoscopic surgery.

6) Hematoma -

Constipation can cause blood clots in the anus due to rupture of blood vessels. Sometimes there can be severe pain. In this case, if the situation becomes complicated, surgery may be required.

It is important for those who have constipation to pay attention to this problem. And diet can control this problem to a large extent.

Know about these troublesome problems - be aware to lead a healthy life.
