But some consciousness and take steps in proper time, we can overcome it. Sometimes our ignorance convince us to avoid awareness.
In our busy and hectic lives, we sometimes get bored,
so whenever we have time, we organize a few families to get together. In the
same way, when one person lit a cigarette in a gathering of several families,
his wife immediately sang - "I drank poison knowingly".
In tune with poets and writers, we all say about
falling in love - "I have knowingly poisoned myself", but smoking
tobacco can also be called "poisoning".
And after all the current propaganda, it is
unacceptable if someone says that they do not know. Then it can be said that we
are knowingly supporting it and poisoning ourselves.
If there is a smoker around - when you go on a long
journey by train or bus or launch, the journey itself seems like the ultimate
punishment or a difficult matter. When it comes to a journey of hobby, it feels
like - "Everything has gone to waste".
The chest disease specialist says - we harm ourselves
with some habits. One of them is 'smoking'.
To
lead a healthy life and a healthy environment, we should
say 'no to smoking'.
We see many people around us suffering from lung
problems and dying, most of them are due to the poison called smoking, we don't
even want to see it.
Experts
say
- Tobacco contains about 7000 toxic substances, including 70 cancer-causing
substances. Tobacco and smoking are not only responsible for lung or mouth
cancer; they are also responsible for breast, genital, stomach, kidney or
pancreatic cancer. It is directly responsible for high blood pressure,
diabetes, heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis.
Long-term tobacco use causes sign of aging on the skin
and teeth, cataracts in the eyes. Breathing problems occur. Women experience
miscarriage or pregnancy problems. The life expectancy of a smoker is usually
reduced by 15 years compared to a non-smoker.
Both direct and indirect smoking have a negative effect
on the body. The way a smoker's teeth and lips turn black can be used to
predict the condition of the lungs where this smoke is inhaled.
Due to the smoking of parents or others, other family
members or people around them and children are indirectly at risk of various
diseases including lung cancer when they grow up. Therefore, we should be
determined to quit smoking today. If not for anything else, at least to be an
example to the next generation, we can refrain from smoking.
# For those who have been smoking for a long time, it
is difficult to quit smoking; but it is not impossible. Researchers have given
some suggestions on how to get rid of this addiction to smoking for a healthy
life -
1. First,
think about why you want to quit smoking. Every person is different, so choose
the most important reason. Make a decision keeping in mind the harm to children
and family, financial loss or the physical harm of smoking. A clear goal is the
most useful for quitting smoking - for example - for your child.
2. Set
a date to quit smoking. But it should not be more than a week. Gradually reduce
the amount of smoking in these seven days. If you smoke a lot these few days
thinking that you will never do it again, then your mind will be bent on the
contrary.
3. Change
your routine on the day you quit smoking. It will be a new day, which will
teach you to be careful about your health - about the environment. If you have
a routine that you go out for a walk, and have a cigarette before breakfast in
the morning, then change this routine. For example, go for a walk and take a
shower when you get home, then have a cup of tea.
4. Write
down exactly what happens and when you feel the urge to smoke. After eating,
during a break from work, or at any other time. Before that time comes,
encourage your mind to do something else.
5. Tell
everyone that you are quitting smoking. Telling your family and friends will
increase your responsibility. Ask no one to smoke in front of you. Encourage a
friend to quit smoking with you. Everyone's support helps a lot in quitting
smoking.
6. Do
something new, keep yourself busy with stimulating activities. Something that
physically keeps you from smoking. Such as swimming, yoga, or gardening.
7. Reward
yourself every day for not smoking. Put money in a jar or earthen bank every
day - the money you used to spend on smoking. After a few days, you will see
that you have accumulated so much money that you can buy groceries or exercise
equipment or give something to your family as a gift.
This will encourage you to lead a healthy life -
smoke-free life.
