To lead a healthy life - Life is so beautiful _ but In our spending life sometimes we are fall in various types of problems, for that- suddenly we fall in illness - physically or mentally. But some consciousness and take steps in proper time, we can overcome it. Sometimes our ignorance convince us to avoid awareness.
Like everyone else, I can see that science is improving in all aspects, but this improvement has its good and bad sides, and it depends on how people use advanced science. Medical science is also improving day by day, and it also has its good and bad sides, that is, side effects. If the dose is too high or too low, a great disaster can occur. So it has to be used with understanding.
I can also see that many people like me want a side
effect-free system in terms of health.
To stay healthy, it is important to live a healthy
life by following the right rules. If you have a disease, you have to take
medicine, but if you want, you can stay free from many diseases by making some
changes in your diet and following a few rules - because small diseases can
cause major diseases. I am speaking from the experience I have gained in the
course of life –
Various fruits, herbs and spices that we know have the
ability to prevent various diseases and medicinal properties, some of which are
at our fingertips, we know some but do not give importance to them, and some we
do not know about the properties of these. We can find out with a little
effort.

From Ayurveda, it is known -
1. Gooseberry
(Bengali name Amalaki) - Amalaki contains a lot of vitamin C, which increases
the antioxidant activity of the body. Keeps hair healthy. Reduces cholesterol
levels. Increases immunity. Amalaki prevents heart disease and works against
cancer.
2. Myrobalan
(Bengali name Haritaki) - An herb that has been used in Ayurveda for many years. According
to Ayurveda, its fruits, seeds, and leaves are all beneficial. As an antidote
to disease - it works well especially in cases of bacterial and fungal
diseases.
Its
powder mixed with water and consumed helps in relieving constipation, reducing
hair fall, reducing weight and increasing immunity, relieving nervous weakness,
and fatigue. It also works against cold, cough, and skin allergies or skin
diseases.
Rich
in tannins, amino acids, fructose, succinic acid, and beta-sitosterol,
myrobalan (Haritaki) cleanses the blood of the body and increases energy and
reduces blood pressure and intestinal cramps. Due to the presence of
anthraquinone, it increases the taste of food. Inhaling the smoke of myrobalan (Haritaki)
powder is beneficial in asthma. Boiling myrobalan (Haritaki) powder in coconut
oil and applying it to the hair keeps the hair healthy.
3. Bahera – Bahera is another herbal fruit,
it has also immunity. It relieves respiratory and digestive problems. Gooseberry-
Myrobalan- Bahera (Amalaki - Haritaki and Bahera) - Soaking these three fruits
in water at night and drinking the water on an empty stomach in the morning
keeps the liver healthy.
4. Aloevera - This is a popular herb that
has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years. Aloevera increases the
radiance of the skin and prevents the signs of aging. It not only heals skin
wounds, but also has many other properties. It contains anti-oxidant and
anti-bacterial ingredients. It also works to control blood sugar.
5. Indian pennywort (Bengali name Thankuni)
- The role of Indian pennywort (Thankuni) in herbal medicine is immense. It
helps to increase intelligence and memory, maintains youth, and reduces hair fall.
Mixing Gooseberry (Amalaki) with a mixture of Indian pennywort (Thankuni) and Basil
leaves (paste) twice a week and applying it to the hair for 10 minutes - it
stops hair fall. It also helps remove harmful toxins from the body.
6. Basil (Benlali name tulsi) - Drinking
the juice of two to three basil leaves with a teaspoon of honey can help you
stay away from diseases like asthma, bronchitis, colds, coughs, sore throats,
sinusitis, etc. Basil leaves also help in curing kidney stones and reducing
headaches and anxiety.
7. Mint - This is a cooling herb, which relieves indigestion and low blood pressure. It increases bile secretion. It works well in IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). It also relieves cold. Applying slightly warm mint paste on the forehead reduces headaches (The book of 'Behesti Jeor').
8. Raw turmeric - It is also called Indian saffron or golden spice. It is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich herb. Raw turmeric also helps in preventing heart disease. It is also used as a painkiller and wound healer.
9. Garlic
- Eating a clove of garlic every day helps keep your heart healthy. It helps
reduce excess cholesterol and keep blood pressure normal.
10. Cumin - Although used as a spice, it has
many medicinal properties. It is rich in antioxidants. Cumin increases the
digestion of the stomach, provides iron. It relieves food-borne diseases. It
also helps in weight loss.
11. Black
cumin - It is like a great medicine for all kinds of diseases. It is known from the book of 'Behesti Jeyor' - Black cumin is effective in all diseases except death. It has
been used as a herb in Ayurveda since ancient times. Regular consumption of
black cumin controls diabetes, high blood pressure, eczema, hepatitis-C,
metabolic syndrome, sinusitis. Apart from this, black cumin has a special role
in controlling itching, inflammation, and epilepsy.
12. Ginger
- Although ginger is used as a spice in our country, its medicinal properties
are many. The gingerol present
in it is a powerful medicinal ingredient. Ginger eliminates nausea, especially
morning sickness. It reduces muscle pain and works well in osteoarthritis due
to its anti-inflammatory effects. The effectiveness of ginger in any problem
like cold is well known.
13. Sesame
- It is a source of fiber and vegetarian protein, which lowers blood pressure,
keeps bones healthy, reduces inflammation, controls diabetes. Boosts immunity
and balances hormones during menopause.
14. Yogurt
- Yogurt contains probiotics, which keep the intestines healthy. It smooth
rough skin and the protein and other ingredients in it. Controls blood
pressure. Yogurt is good for bones and prevents vaginal infections.
15. Lemon
- Lemon contains a lot of vitamin C. It helps in losing weight and making hair
shiny. Lemon reduces cholesterol levels. It is a great addition to meet
dehydration. Apart from this, it helps in digestion. Lemon has an immense role
in relieving colds, coughs and fevers.
16. Tomato
- It is a great source of vitamin C. It contains folate and vitamin K. The
antioxidant lycopene reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer. It also
prevents skin pigmentation.
17. Carrot
- It is mainly used as a vegetable. It contains vitamin A, anti-oxidants and
other ingredients. It is especially beneficial for the eyes. It plays a special
role in preventing cancer and heart disease. It also helps in reducing
cholesterol levels.
18. Apple
- It is rich in acetic acid, and helps in killing harmful bacteria. It reduces
blood sugar levels and works against diabetes. It is not associated with weight
loss and reducing belly fat. It is said that eating an apple a day keeps the
doctor away.
19. Pomegranate
- This is a nutritious fruit. It also has medicinal properties. It contains
vitamin C, vitamin K, folate and potassium. Apart from this, it works against
inflammation and prostate cancer. It also works against bacterial and fungal
infections. Apart from this, it is also effective in diarrhea. The easiest way
to heal the arteries that circulate blood to the brain and heart is to eat
pomegranate directly or drink pomegranate juice.
A research paper shows that in a study
conducted for the purpose of research, it was found that 10 patients whose
arteries had become narrow due to accumulation of fat were given 50 milliliters
of pomegranate juice every day. After a year, it was seen that the thickness of
the inner lining of their shoulder arteries decreased by 30 percent.
20. Honey - Pure honey contains
antioxidants. Honey is less harmful than sugar for diabetics. Being rich in
antioxidants, it keeps blood pressure under control. It also reduces triglyceride
levels, which is one of the causes of heart disease. Raw and unprocessed honey
contains a type of bacteria called Lactobacillus
kunkeei which helps in increasing the body's immunity. Drinking a
teaspoon of honey mixed with water every morning on an empty stomach helps in
weight loss.
21. Cinnamon (Bengali name ‘Darchini’) -
Taking a teaspoon of cinnamon powder with water every day can be beneficial for
arthritis.
22. Cardamom (Bengali name ‘Alach’) - To
relieve gas in the stomach, grind a cardamom into powder or chew it well and
drink a glass of lukewarm water.
23. Clobe (Bengali name ‘Long’) - Every
throat healer knows that long is effective for clearing the throat. Apart from
this, you can try it by drinking long tea for cough/phlegm.
24. Black peeper (Bengali name ‘Golmarich’) - The properties of black peeper are the same as other spices. However, it is impossible to chew it because it is extremely spicy. That is why it is eaten in cooking. These spices called in bengali 'garam masala'.(cinnamon, cardamom, clove) are essential to destroy harmful bacteria in meat. According to herbal research, it is said that the properties of turmeric increase many times when these hot spices are combined with turmeric. Each ingredient of spices is a herbal medicine in health protection.

mentioned what is lying at hand in our kitchen. If you look a little further,
you will find – neem, drumstick, mango, various types of berry, litchi, jackfruit etc. – a collection of thousands of
trees and fruits shrubs and vines, none of which is useless – all of them have some
medicinal properties, which if used properly will reduce our dependence on
