Lead a healthy life 123

To lead a healthy life - Life is so beautiful _ but In our spending life sometimes we are fall in various types of problems, for that- suddenly we fall in illness - physically or mentally. But some consciousness and take steps in proper time, we can overcome it. Sometimes our ignorance convince us to avoid awareness.
But the doctor said - diabetes only happens due to age
- this is not right, children also get diabetes.
I was surprised and kept asking the doctor various
questions, in response the doctor explained to me -
We think that diabetes is an adult disease, because it
is seen more in adults. In fact, children are not exempt from this disease
either. Diabetes in children is of a different type, it is called type-1
diabetes. Diabetes in children is rather more painful and problematic, the pain
is not only for the child but also for the whole family.
But as the saying goes, a child has the right to a
healthy life, so everyone should maintain patience and mental strength.
Experts say - Medical science says that diabetes in
children is caused by a lack of insulin hormone.
Some cells do not function properly, so insulin is not
produced in the child's body, so food cannot be converted into energy.
Insulin uses blood glucose to provide energy and keeps
glucose under control. If it is lacking, glucose in the blood increases
significantly. The body is then forced to store the necessary energy from
proteins and fats in an alternative way.
As a result, toxic substances (ketone bodies)
accumulate abnormally in the blood. The amount of urine increases, the throat
and chest of the affected child become dry, the child starts drinking water
repeatedly. Weight starts to decrease, when excess toxic ketone bodies
accumulate in the blood, they suddenly become unconscious, and breathing
difficulties begin. If not treated quickly with insulin, the child may even
die.
We usually do not even think about blood glucose
testing in children, so it is often not detected on time.
Due to a little lack of awareness, the possibility of
a child's life being endangered comes to the fore. Therefore, there is no
alternative to awareness for a healthy life.
According to the advice received from the doctor, the
symptoms of diabetes in children include ---
a. Gradually
getting dry.
b. Urinating
more and more. He has started wetting the bed again.
c. Drinking
more and more water, even waking up at night and asking for water.
d. Not
feeling as energetic as before, getting tired easily.
e. Frequent
infections of various kinds, not recovering easily.
If
diabetes occurs, what to do -
a. Blood
glucose should be controlled by regular insulin injections as per the doctor's
advice. In the initial stage, frequent doctor's advice may be required to bring
glucose under control. Do not get upset and add danger to danger. There is no
alternative to patience.
b. Sweets,
sugar and sweet foods should be excluded from the child's daily diet. The
amount of other foods should be moderate. Everyone in the family should avoid
eating sweet foods in front of the child.
c. Sports.
Cleanliness, running and jumping should be brought in all kinds of lifestyles.
d. Extra
caution should be taken while walking so that the child does not get injured or
cut. Care should be taken in taking care of feet and teeth, and cutting nails.
e. Diabetic
children should be given equal opportunities like healthy children in any kind
of sports or activities, so that they do not suffer discrimination or feel
pain.
f. The
health of the eyes and kidneys should be checked at regular intervals.
g. If
there is any infection or fever in the body, one should seek medical advice
without delay.
# Type-1 diabetes treatment is an ongoing process. It
is a lifelong disease and hence, its treatment and precautions need to be
continued patiently. A good team, pediatrician, dietician and Diabetic
specialist are needed to help this child.
According to the research of experts, the cause of
type -1 diabetes is not yet confirmed, but for now it is assumed that -
a. Heredity
- If both parents have type-1 diabetes, then their child is likely to have it.
b. Virus
- Viruses like German measles, Coxsackie and mumps can cause type-1 diabetes.
These viruses attack the body's immune system and cause the body to fight
against itself, creating an autoimmune problem.
c. Geographic
location - The environment we live in affects our body. People living in warm
countries have a lower risk of developing type 1 diabetes, as the chances of
viral infection are low. People living in cold countries have a higher risk of
viral infection.
d. Other
autoimmune diseases - Some autoimmune diseases have a higher risk of developing
type 1 diabetes, because these diseases have the same gene marker HLA that is
affected.
e. Genetic
predisposition - If the child has the gene marker associated with type 1
diabetes, then he is likely to develop type 1 diabetes.
There is no substitute for awareness - if you want to lead
a healthy life.
