To lead a healthy life - Life is so beautiful _ but In our spending life sometimes we are fall in various types of problems, for that- suddenly we fall in illness - physically or mentally. But some consciousness and take steps in proper time, we can overcome it. Sometimes our ignorance convince us to avoid awareness.
If you are not aware, your life will be like a dry leaf, and it can create a lot of unhealthy suffering and shameful situations!
Inability to hold urine, having to go to the bathroom
immediately when you need to urinate, sudden drops of urine coming out with
sneezing, coughing or slight pressure - this problem is suffered by many men
and women.
Doctors say - this is not a disease - it is a symptom
of the disease. Therefore, to lead a healthy life - we need to
know the rules of living in a healthy way.
In women, this problem occurs especially when the
pelvic muscles become weak after childbirth or when the uterus descends or
drops.
Men also have this problem, especially older men. In
most cases, it is due to the prostate gland growing and putting pressure on the
bladder. Sometimes it also happens due to problems with the capacity or
sensitivity of the bladder due to autonomic reasons.
Due to this problem, many men and women over 50
suddenly find themselves in embarrassing situations. To get rid of this
problem, you should take advice from doctors and follow it. Here is what I knew
from the doctor during my mother-in-law's problem ---
1. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, alcohol - these will
increase the problem. It is better to avoid these especially outside the house.
2. You should go to the bathroom every 2-3 hours to
empty your bladder. You cannot hold your urine for a long time. Remember -
prostate problems can cause sudden urinary retention.
3. Lose weight. Excess weight will complicate the
problem.
4. If you have diabetes, it should be controlled.
Uncontrolled diabetes, diabetes-related neuropathy can be responsible for this
problem.
5. It is not that men do not get urinary infections.
If there is a sudden increase in urinary incontinence, burning, or discomfort
in the lower abdomen, a urine culture should be done.
6. Get treatment for prostate problems. Keep in touch
with your surgeon regularly, get a checkup once a year. Sometimes surgery may
be required.
7. In the case of women, you should pay utmost
attention to proper treatment during, before and after childbirth. Otherwise,
you will have to suffer for the rest of your life.
8. It is possible to reduce this problem to a great
extent within 4 to 6 weeks by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles with some
exercises and electrical stimulators.
The
exercises are -
First, sit on a chair and lean forward slightly,
keeping your spine straight. Now, contract the muscles needed to hold your
urine. Hold this position for 5 to 10 seconds. Then, release the contracted
muscles. Repeat the entire process 10 to 15 times, 4 times a day.
Lie down straight, bend your knees, rest your feet on
your heels, raise your waist upwards, hold for 5 seconds and then lower it.
This should also be done 4 times a day, 10 to 15 times each time.
The pelvic floor muscles are strengthened through
stimulation by placing electrodes inside the rectum or vagina. This is called electrical
stimulation.
Practice urinating 10 minutes after the urge to
urinate begins. This is called bladder training.
After urinating, sit for some time and wait before
trying to urinate again. Apart from this, try to urinate every 2 to 4 hour -
even if the urge to urinate does not come. This is called double voiding.
Be aware - to lead a healthy life.
