We Muslims know and accept that Ramadan is a month of
blessings given by God to us. And those who follow religion perfectly - they
observe fasting at different times of the year. Every religion has a provision
for fasting. All the provisions of God have a beneficial aspect - you can
understand it if you pay attention.
Medical science has also acknowledged through
experiments how beneficial fasting is for human health from time to time, and
how it benefits. Even then, diabetic patient hesitates, thinking that there will
be a 'sudden danger' like hypoglycemia. Let's see what diabetics can do to
observe fasting whenever they want without any problems.
Dietician says - When fasting during Ramadan or any
other time, our normal lifestyle and eating habits change. Diabetic patients'
food, exercise, and medication schedules also change. If they do not follow the
correct rules and regulations regarding food, many of them may face problems
like low blood sugar or high blood sugar.

Diabetic patients can start iftar with coconut water
or lemon juice or low-sweet seasonal fruits. Sugar cannot be used.

Iftar should be balanced and nutritious. You can

of important vitamins and minerals. Fish can be a source of easily digestible
protein. However, if someone does not want to eat fish, they can choose meat,
eggs or sour yogurt as protein.
You can walk for 20-25 minutes an hour after iftar.
However, if you have completed the Tarawih prayer, there is no need for any
separate physical exercise.
