Eat food knowing its quality
Food produces energy in our body. If we have an idea
about its quality, we can take action by knowing in what quantity any food
produces the necessary energy and heat in the body to maintain good health, and
we can choose for ourselves which one is acceptable and which one is to be
avoided.
I have learned from experts that one-sixth of the heat
generated from food is used for work, and the remaining five-sixths are spent
on maintaining body heat.
Protein and fat foods produce body heat. For this, an
adult working person needs five-sixths of protein and fat foods and one part of
non-vegetarian foods in his diet.
Eating too much fatty foods like ghee and butter
causes fat to accumulate in the body, so in all countries of the world, starchy
foods like rice, bread, etc. are eaten in large quantities to maintain the
balance of body heat.
(1) Protein - replenishes the body's losses
(2) Fat - produces heat and energy
(3) Carbohydrate - also produces heat and energy
(4) Salt - increases and strengthens bone structure
(5) Water - helps in blood circulation in the body
(6) Vitamins - increases vitality
These six types of substances are necessary for every
human body to maintain energy. All the above types of ingredients must be
present in our food in sufficient quantities. No single type of food contains
all the ingredients. The functions of different ingredients in the body are
different.
All these are essential for a healthy life. For this
reason, we need to eat a balanced diet with awareness. The food that contains
these six types of ingredients and has sufficient amounts of body-replenishing,
nourishing and body-protecting ingredients and is easily digested after eating,
the daily losses of the body are met and the necessary heat and energy are
produced is called a balanced diet or mixed diet.
Although vitamins are very fine and small in quantity,
their effect on our body is important. These vitamins help in the functioning
of internal organs such as the brain, nervous system, liver and stomach. Due to
their deficiency, the immune system decreases and the body becomes sick. The
functions and properties of different vitamins are different, so the deficiency
of different vitamins causes different diseases.
The purpose of eating all animal foods is to replenish
the body's deficiencies. Animal proteins such as fish, meat, chicken, eggs,
etc. are more suitable for replenishing the body's deficiencies than vegetable
proteins. Therefore, one-third of the protein required by an adult should be
animal proteins.
Rice proteins are more suitable for replenishing the
body's deficiencies than flour proteins. However, flour proteins are almost
twice as much as rice. That is why eating one meal of rice and one meal of
bread instead of just rice or just bread is more beneficial for health.
Similarly, if you know the qualities of fruits and
vegetables and consume them, you will get benefits. We are adopting different
ways to inform you about these, read, see and learn about them - to lead a
healthy life.
Note: I have another article on the qualities of
vegetables and fruits.
